Steffi Team Leader AKA ‘Love Angel’!
Everybody loves Steffi! This Angel takes and shares love wherever she goes! Whilst Martyn is always the first to arrive, Steffi is contesting to be the last to leave! Steffi does not rest until she is satisfied that everyone is home safely. Even the birds are ushered to their nests by Steffi!
One of the challenges of being an Angel on the streets in Magaluf, is awakening people who are in laymen terms: ‘out of it’! Often, the male Angels would shout, gently shake(!), and when necessary apply water to the face of the person ‘sleeping’, all to no avail. Steffi would come along, and in her angelic voice, whisper, ‘can you wake up please’, and immediately they would open their eyes!.
No wonder, because Steffi’s smile lights up the streets of Magaluf. Her passion is to build a community in Magaluf, that is demonstrated through sharing the love of Jesus in a practical manner.
Steff joined Gary and Sarah this summer to assist in the coordination and development of Street Angels Spain. A born organiser, Steffi brings order to the Angels, especially when they appear to be enjoying themselves a little too much!
This Angel is not without human weaknesses. Her other love aside from Jesus, is food! Steffi has been known to take a sneaky break, whilst on duty, to build relationships with the local kebab shops! Steffi, would argue that this is an important strategy when forming friendships within the community. Needless to say, all the fast food outlets in Magaluf and beyond, are aware of Street Angels!

Elli Schulte kam eben bei mir im Büro vorbei und sagte, sie hätte dich letztes Wochenende getroffen. Ihr würdet wohl Praktikumsplätze für Bibelschüler im Sommer anbieten. Ich arbeite am Theol. Seminar Rheinland (nähe Altenkirchen/WW) und bin dafür zuständig unsere Studierenden im Sommer gut unterzubringen. Elli meinte, du würdest eure Arbeit gerne mal persönlich vorstellen. Wir haben dafür zwar extra Infostunden, aber leider ist der nächste freie Termin erst im April. Aber wenn du magst (und weil du eine weite Anreise hast), könnte ich mit ein paar Infos von dir auch bisschen was weitergeben bzw. gezielt Leute ansprechen, die dafür geeignet wären. Es gibt am TSR einige, die schon Erfahrung in Arbeit mit Prostituierten, Obdachlosen, Großstadtleben, Caféarbeit, etc. haben. Würde mich sehr freuen, wenn du mir zurück schreibst 🙂
